Designing for Forgotten Spaces
Open floor plans have perks, but there are new and surprising statistics on how these spaces affect employees. This course aims to shed light on the different types of forgotten spaces needed to counteract open floor plans and their impact on productivity as well as employee’s health and wellness.
Learners will understand how to create a cohesive office design that enhances employee productivity, health, safety, and well-being.
Learners will be able to design resource areas in the modern office, including mother’s rooms, wellness spaces, and common areas.
Learners will be able to identify forgotten spaces in the office and understand what aspects are needed for each area.
Learners will understand the pros and cons of open floor plans and how to design them to minimize the negatives and maximize productivity and employee well-being.
